About

BrooklynParrots.com is a site launched in 2005. Here you’ll find information — in the form of photos I’ve taken and my own local observations — concerning the wild Quaker Parrots (AKA Monk Parakeets) of Brooklyn. Also provided are occasional reports from the field, links to Quaker parrot-relevant stories on the web, frequently asked questions about the birds, and notices about the periodic “wild parrot safaris” offered to the general public.

If you’re curious about who exactly is behind this site, my name is Steve Baldwin. While I spend as much time as I can “hunting” the parrots (with a camera, not a firearm), I work full time at marketing agency Didit, whose services you can peruse at Didit.com.
